Luckily, there is a solution to all this: reduction mastoplasty. It is a surgical operation aimed to reduce volume and weight of the breast, giving it a more natural and comfortable size. The procedure

It starts with the first visit which is the most important phase. Firstly I make sure my patient is in good health. Based on the peculiarities of her breasts, I identify the most appropriate solution for the most natural and aesthetically perfect result possible. In some cases, I can also use liposuction to reduce the size of the breast in particular on the lateral sides of the breasts

The operation takes place under general anesthesia and it takes about three hours. Upon awakening, I prescribe a painkiller to sedate the pain. I apply a compression bandage which I replace with a lighter one after 48 hours and after dressing the wounds. For about two months I recommend using, 24 hours a day, a sports bra to give support to the breast without generating strong pressure. Also in this case recovery is very important. In the following days after surgery, you should avoid work and, for about six weeks, excessive physical exertion.

And the result of all this? A balanced breast in proportion to the rest of the body. In this way every woman can feel more confident and have the pleasure of showing the beauty and harmony of her forms.

01. Do you have to be fasting to support the operation?
Yes, since it is general anaesthesia, you should not eat or drink for about six hours before the operation.
02. Is it necessary to stop smoking before the operation?
Yes. In order to promote rapid recovery and reduce the risk of infection, smokers should refrain from smoking, starting at least two weeks before the operation.
03. Is it not recommended to take medication before treatment?
It is not recommended, but there is a possibility that it is necessary to stop taking them.
04. What procedures can be used to reduce breast volume?
There are three breast reduction techniques: traditional, with vertical incision and without scars. Traditional: I make two different incisions: one around the nipple and the other round the breast before removing excess fat and skin. once both incisions are made I place the breast, nipple and areola in a higher position, stretch the skin around the breast and sew the incisions. With vertical incision: it is a less invasive incision, but not suitable for women who has extremely large breasts. The incision is made around the areola, in a vertical way along the breast surface, downwards. Without scarring: I use liposuction to reduce breast size. After making small incisions under the armpit in the fold of the breast or in the upper external part, I drain the excess fat and close the incisions.
