Evenin men, ears appearance contributes to their beauty. Having protruding or bad proportioned ears can generate insecurity, embarrassment and, consequently, a fear of being in contact with others. It is not pleasant for a man to live in a body that is not considered beautiful. Fortunately, there is a remedy for this condition: otoplasty.
It is that surgical technique that can solve problems related to the aesthetics of the ears. It corrects their size, adherence to the head and gives them the natural look they deserve. In this way, even the face regains the balance and harmony that characterize it.
The procedure
A first thorough examination allows me to assess the patient's state of health and to identify both the best solution for him taking into account the expressed wishes and the realistically achievable results. I explain the possible risks that can occur even during simple procedures like this one and answer all the questions in order to resolve any doubts.
The otoplasty procedure, which usually takes between two and three hours, is performed under general anaesthesia. I make small incisions on the back of the auricle so as to leave microscopic and practically invisible scars.
When waking up, some bruises will be present, customary after each operation; as it is a simple operation, these will disappear in a few days. Finally, after a week spent with a bandage that protects the ears from possible infections, I meet the patient again to remove the stitches and appreciate the results of the operation: proportionate ears, beautiful to see and in harmony with the face.
