As time goes by, the back of the arms can relax and look more flabby. Having soft arms for a man is a symptom of lack of masculinity and this can generate insecurity and lower self-esteem.
The loss of tone in the arms is caused by several factors: the natural aging of the body, sudden changes in weight, excessive sun exposure and possible genetic reasons. Fortunately, there is a solution, arm lifting, which makes the skin smooth again and gives the arms back their former vigour. The whole body regains its lost harmony.
During the operation, I make an incision from the elbow to the armpit, lift the skin to remove excess fat and place it back on the arm while holding it in tension. Finally, I close the incision with internal points. The years of experience have allowed me to acquire such expertise that the scars are almost invisible.
The operation, performed under general anesthesia, takes about two or three hours depending on the amount of fat to be removed. The bruises and swelling that will appear when you wake up, which is customary in these situations, disappear within two or three weeks.
During the first few days it is important that the patient keeps the wounds dry and the dressings intact. Before his return home, I provide all the rest instructions to be observed and recommend the time away from work. After a few days after the fixed operation, a visit to evaluate the success of the healing and appreciate, together with the patient, the results achieved: arms more toned and in balance with the other forms of the body.
