The first consultation
The purpose of cosmetic surgery is to make the patient happy. Communication is the key of all human relationships and the success of cosmetic surgery depends on a series of interviews with the patient.The main goal of the first consultation is to establish an interpersonal relationship. Generally the latter does not last for more than an hour.
During this first encounter Dr. Marcellino will explain everything that concerns the requested operation, for example the duration, complications, post operatory, costs, etc.
Moreover, the patient's general conditions will be examined. The doctor will prescirbe, blood tests, x-rays, cardiological exams, ANESTHETICAL VISIT, and any eventual consultancies with other specialists.
The photographs taken during this visit are a fundamental diagnostic instrument for plastic surgery. They will be taken before and after the operation for comparative purposes and will be attached to the patient's reserved personal file as clinical documentation.
At this stage a second visit will be programmed to analyse the prescribed exams, the photographs, and to go deeper into the patient's motivation. Lastly, the patient will be asked to ign the informative consent.
